We hope this email finds you all well and are looking forward to reconnecting with as many of you as possible at ACIS 2025, The State of the Information Systems Discipline: Challenges and Opportunities, 1-5 December 2025 (DC 1-2nd). This year marks the 36th Australasian Conference on Information Systems, co-hosted by the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) and the Australasian Association for Information Systems (AAIS).
The conference will be located at: The University of the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay Campus – Moreton Bay Campus
The AAIS are currently calling for papers to be nominated for the following awards for 2025:
- John Campbell Research Impact Award
- Leonie Warne Prize
- Natalie F. Hardwicke Best Student Paper Award

Deadline for submission for all awards/prizes: Tuesday, 11 November 2025
Outcome announced: expected to be at the ACIS dinner, which is usually held in early December. The winner(s) will also be notified in writing.

John Campbell Research Impact Award
The award honours John Campbell’s commitment to working on topics of relevance to practice, and his contributions to the Information Systems discipline. The $1500 prize recognises research that has had, or has the potential to have, a significant impact on industry, government or not-for-profit organisations, as well as impact on society. The prize is co-sponsored by the Australasian Association for Information Systems (AAIS) and the Australian Council of Professors and Heads of Information Systems (ACPHIS), for which John Campbell has provided service over his career in support of the Information Systems community.

John Campbell Research Impact Award
Leoni Warne Prize
The Leoni Warne Prize honours Leoni Warne’s contribution to promoting the role of women in IT in Australia. The Prize is worth $1500 and recognises the best article published in the preceding calendar year in the broad area of women and IT. The prize is co-sponsored by the Australasian Association for Information Systems (AAIS), the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and the Australian Council of Professors and Heads of Information Systems (ACPHIS).

Natalie F. Hardwicke Best Student Paper Award
The Natalie F. Hardwicke Best Student Paper Award recognises exceptional quality publications by PhD students exhibiting innovative, box-breaking research. The Hardwicke Family Trust, in consultation with the AAIS, established the award in 2019 in memory of Natalie Faye Hardwicke (2 January 1988 – 24 August 2018). The award includes a $1500 prize from the Hardwicke Family Trust and is administered by AAIS.
