To support the kinds of extended discussions occurring within Australasian IS Ecosystem entities and the Australasian IS Community more broadly, the AAIS is developing a Green Open Access Preprint Series called AAIS Preprints (AAIS PP).
Preprints are draft research papers shared publicly before being peer-reviewed. They are provided with document object identifiers (DOIs), enabling them to be cited in other work. Preprints have many benefits, including securing and claiming credit for research-in-progress, gaining community feedback early in the research’s development, and increasing the visibility of the work, including citations and altmetrics.
The AAIS Preprints complement the other publishing modalities supported by the AAIS. They will be especially useful for Virtual Communities.
