The AAIS administers our community email lists that allow members to connect to the broader Australasian IS Community. You must first join our email lists and agree to our terms and conditions before you are able to use them. Currently, AAIS supports an all-inclusive IS-AUS List that aims to contain every IS academic in our jurisdiction. Another list called IS-HODS is for Heads of Disciplines in IS and IS-agnate fields. This list is by invitation only.
The AAIS is the process manager for our region’s premier conference, the Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS) as well as the publisher of our region’s academic IS journal, the Australasian Journal of Information Systems (AJIS).
There are two major related developments underway. The first is the Green Open Access AAIS Preprints that will be used to support our Virtual Communities Initiative. Our future Virtual Communities will facilitate self-organising groups of researchers regardless of where they live and work within our jurisdiction.
The AAIS develops and financially supports various Awards and Prizes to recognise the excellent scholarship, education and governance work being done by Information Systems researchers in our jurisdiction.
