The AAIS is the Institutional Publisher Services Provider (IPSP), the open access publisher for the Australasian Journal of Information Systems. It funds, manages, and maintains the specialised publishing systems and workflows that support the AJIS.
AAIS is also planning to support its Virtual Communities with a publishing option that will complement its journal- the AAIS Preprints. There are many advantages for the IS Community. These include mentoring for authors, improving the quality of reviewing, providing an opportunity to develop editing experience. In the future, the existence of the AAIS Preprints may afford the opportunity to experiment with an open reviewing scheme when used with Virtual Communities.
