Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS)
The Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS) has been running annually since 1990 and is the premier regional IS Conference.
The AAIS is the process owner of the ACIS Conferences, the manager of the ACIS Conference Planning, and a major sponsor for the conference. The AAIS also has an ongoing commitment to support the administration and management of ACIS- including a dedicated liaison role within the AAIS Executive (Events and Affiliations Officer) to support ACIS. AAIS provides administrative, financial, and technical support for the ACIS Conference Host Institutions.

An archive of past ACIS Conferences is available online here, while the published ACIS Conference Proceedings are indexed and currently available from the AIS eLibrary.
The ACIS Doctoral Consortium (ACIS DC) is conducted just prior to the ACIS conference each year. Starting in 1993, the ACIS DC has incubated many papers that have been subsequently published in A and A* journals. It has helped kickstart many IS careers in the region being a first experience for many to present their developing work. The DC also provides a rare opportunity for senior scholars in the region to mix with early career researchers and PhD students.
A range of IS Community prizes are awarded at each ACIS Conference, see Our Awards/Prizes. The ACIS Conference is also the host for several important governance meetings, including the AAIS Executive Annual General Meeting, to which all AAIS Institutional Members, AIS Members and members of the Australasian IS Community are invited.
